Service Description
ITS manages the State contracts for the Toll-Free User Managed Audio Conferencing
service, Attendant Controlled Conferencing service and Local Meet-Me Conferencing
service.
- Toll-Free User Managed Audio Conferencing service
- Supports up to 125 conferees per call
- Provided through Qwest network services
- 24 x 7 availability of conference bridges
- Secure conference calls
can be accomplished by enabling a conference pass code on a per call basis
- WARNING!! Caution should be used when scheduling any conference calls on office
calendaring systems. Do NOT publish the passwords/conference id numbers/meeting
room numbers, etc. on the calendar unless the meeting is marked ‘private’; otherwise,
anyone with access to the calendar can gain access to the conference call.
- No reservations required
- Attendant Controlled Conferencing service
- Cost effective means of using conference calls
- Each conference call can
have up to 30 conferees
- Conference calls are set up by the State telephone
operators who limit the call to only the participants specified by the requester
- Call is secure except to the extent a State Telephone Operator must be involved
- The person requesting that a conference call be set up contacts the State telephone
operator at 919-733-1110 to start the call
- Local Meet-Me Conferencing service
- Allows up to 30 participants
- Reservations are made through the State telephone
operators and are on a 'per occasion' basis
- This is a shared conference arrangement
and is not secure
- Available in several AT&T metropolitan service areas

Hours of Availability
- Toll-Free User Managed Audio Conferencing service is available 24 x 7 after initial
setup by ITS
- Attendant Controlled Conference bridges are available for reservation
and set-up from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for holidays
- Local Meet-Me Conferencing service
- Available for reservations Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, except for
holidays
- Available for use 24x7 once the reservation is established
Customer Responsibilities
- Toll-Free User Managed Audio Conferencing service
- Initiate service requests via Telephone Service Request Form (TO-5) and submit to
the ITS Service Delivery Provisioning Center
- The Service Delivery Provisioning Center will process the request and provide the
requester with confirmation and conference bridge access information via email
- The service provider (Qwest Communications) will also mail complete dialing
instructions to the requestor within two weeks of order fulfillment
- Attendant Controlled Conferencing service
- Provide the State telephone operators with 24 hours notice of the need for an Attendant
Controlled Conference call. Fax the conference details to the State telephone
operators at 919-733-5279 the day before the conference call is required to arrange
for the schedule.

- The conference leader’s name and
telephone number
- Requester’s name
- Requester’s email address
- Telephone numbers of all participants
- Date and time of call
- Valid 10-digit State government telephone number to which charges will be billed

- Remain on the line while the operator initiates
the call so that the other conferees can be bridged together with the caller
- Pay for all charges associated with the call for all conferees

- Local Meet-Me Conferencing service
- Reservations are made on a first come, first serve basis
- Requests must
be submitted in writing by faxing the information to 919-733-5279 the day before
the conference call is required
- Information to be submitted:
- The conference leader’s name and telephone number
- The requester’s name
and telephone number
- The contact person's email address
- Date, beginning
and ending time of call
- Valid 10-digit State government telephone number to
which charges will be billed

- Customers should NOT attempt to reuse a Meet-Me Conference number without verifying if it is available with the
State telephone operators

How Do We Charge?
Rates - Toll-Free User Managed Audio Conferencing service
- There is no set up charge
- Initiator pays for all costs associated with
the call for all conferees (per minute per conferee)
Rates - Attendant Controlled Conferencing service
- Set up charge for Attendant Controlled Conference Calls is $20.00
- Initiator
pays for all long distance charges associated with the call for all conferees
- All local and long distance calls that are placed by the attendants will be
billed to the request initiator at the per minute rate
Rates - Local Meet-Me Conferencing service
- A $10.00 fee is charged for each Meet-Me Conference reservation
- Each participant
pays for long distance charges that may be incurred when calling the Meet-Me Conference
number
